Hey all. Put my little tool on Uneed today and honestly feeling a bit awkward about it — I'm a writer, not really a "launch" person.

For context: I've been writing a novel set on the Silk Road for about two years, and for most of that time my main character felt like a stranger I kept bossing around. I knew what she did but not who she was, and outlines never really helped.

So I built a thing where you just talk to your characters. You give them a bit of backstory, then you can actually ask them stuff. Mine started dodging me — I asked her about something in her past and she just changed the subject. That was the moment it clicked for me: a character who won't tell you everything feels way more alive than one reciting my notes back at me.

I'd genuinely love to know if this makes any sense to someone who isn't me. Does "interview your character" sound useful, or just odd? Totally fine to say "not for me" too.
